No, he's not really that dumb. He's exaggerating. It makes it funny, but it makes me wonder what else he's exaggerating. He's a lawyer himself, so he knows better.
at an extreme, it *might* technically be an accurate statement. compare a day's wages of a celebrity attorney (ex: johnnie cochran) to the lifetime earnings of an aborigine or native amazon dweller, and they could be similar. but still, your point is taken...
and it's not like anybody else ever exaggerates. ;)
