no, actually the opposite. i quit one job about three years ago (which was about a decade too late ;) ), and it took two years to find another - but this one has been worth the wait, and i don't have to relocate to either of the left coasts as i thought might have been necessary in my field. plus, i've been moving into a new house this month.
