Mayor Bloom-Ban

The story does not go on to read:
"The grass-conscious mayor made the comment just hours before the judge ruled against the controversial ban and also discussed the prevalence of walking among low-income families. “With so many poor yards suffering the worst of this epidemic... It would be irresponsible not to try to do everything we can to save the turf,” Bloomberg said.

Reality shows that there’s been a rising gorge from sane people against power-mad plutocrats dictating their every footstep. “First he came for the smokers, and I didn't speak out because I didn't smoke. Then he came for the grease, and I didn't speak out because I was a vegetarian.” said one resident who preferred to remain hatless."

How did we get to the point where we talk about what Piers Morgan thinks? He tweeted (some totalitarian b.s. supporting the ban) He’s the latest in a long line of scolds and fussbudgets who want to slap Bad Thing X out of your hand for your own good...

Not "encourage." Not "exalt." Not "inspire by example." MAKE. It's always MAKE with these people. If you can't make people do things, how are you going to get anything done? That Volga Canal isn't going to dig itself, you know...

Never trust anyone whose frustration with the limits of persuasion lasts less than three seconds.

Would love to see that brief excerpt fleshed out into a full-blown parody article, because what you already have is awesome.
